The Funky Fly Culture Lid is a reusable fruit fly culture lid designed to fit standard 32 oz deli cups, creating a simple and effective way to maintain healthy fruit fly colonies.

Whether you're culturing Drosophila melanogaster or Drosophila hydei for dart frogs, tarantulas, jumping spiders, geckos, or other insect-eating animals, this lid helps turn a basic deli cup into a reliable, reusable fruit fly culture container.

Built-in ventilation promotes proper airflow for culture health while helping reduce the chance of escapes during feeding and handling. The lid allows you to access or dispense fruit flies quickly without dismantling your entire culture setup.

For best results, pair multiple deli cups with staggered cultures, so you always have fresh fruit flies available. Many keepers rotate cultures every 10–14 days to maintain a consistent feeding cycle.
